“The Beautiful Faces My Black People" was written by Puerto Rican composer Tite Curet Alonso and performed by Puerto Rican Salsa artist Ismael Rivera in 1979. The lyrics are a love letter to black people worldwide and describes the suffering felt from years of colonialism. This moving song was performed magnificently by Rivera, stirring hearts and minds to reflect proudly on their culture and heritage.
We designed this Afro Latino graphic tee to that sentiment. Wear it with pride and confidence, knowing you're sending a message that elevates and amplifies your community’s voices.
Why an Afro Pick? My Dad always kept his in his back pocket and to me it was a symbol of pride in self care and identity. It’s an important reminder of the legacy we boldly carry on.
