The Triple Nikel Capers Graphic Tee was created to honor the life and sacrifice of Major (Retired) James Capers Jr., the first, and only, African American Officer to be awarded the Medal of Honor in the U.S. Marine Corps.  This unique streetwear design features Major Capers front and center to help spark conversations that bring his service to light.

MAJ James Capers received the Congressional Medal of Honor on June 18, 2026. He led a nine-man patrol near Phu Loc, South Vietnam, starting on March 31 through April 3, 1967.  For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty as a Team Leader with 3d Force Reconnaissance Company, 3d Reconnaissance Battalion in the Republic of Vietnam James Capers was awarded the Medal of Honor nearly 60 years after the fact.
