Make a statement with your shirt.
“Stonewall” is derived from the Stonewall Inn which is a gay bar and recreational tavern in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan, New York City, and the site of the Stonewall riots of 1969. It is widely considered to be the single most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBT rights in the United States. You best believe we wanted to create a simple design that said the most with this one. For anyone who knows the history will automatically recognize the meaning, and for those that do not, it can be an opportunity for education!
The colors of the rainbow are proudly on display to showcase our love for humanity above all else. We hope that you will wear this shirt with pride, and understand that if you are not a part of the LGBTQ community you can at least be an Ally. An Ally is a term of endearment that is referred to people who support the normalization of the LGBTQ lifestyle within our society. Stand with us on the front line and make a statement with your gear.
We are requesting that if you support this idea to please record a video of yourself describing a “Stonewall Moment” in your journey of either being part of the LGBTQ movement or as an ally. We ask that you please do it in either of the UNITY collection shirts and make them no more than 60 seconds in length. You can either send it to email@example.com -or- post it on your social media using the hashtag #stonewallmoment. The intent is to show the humanity within the LGBTQ lifetsyle.
